(CNN)A day in the wake of leaving the 2022 World Cup in tears as his opportunities to win the competition without precedent for his profession were broken, Portugal whiz striker Cristiano Ronaldo said bringing a World Cup title to Portugal was "the greatest and most aggressive dream" of his vocation yet "the fantasy was delightful while it endured."
Portugal was stunned 1-0 by Morocco in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
"To win a World Cup for Portugal was the greatest and most aggressive dream of my profession," Ronaldo composed on Instagram on Sunday.
"Luckily, I came out on top for a great deal of championships of global aspect, including Portugal, yet to place the name of our country in the most elevated level on the planet was my greatest dream.
"I battled for it. I battled a great deal for that fantasy. In the multiple times I was available in World Cups all through 16 years, consistently close to extraordinary players and upheld by a great many Portuguese, I did my absolute best with it. I left everything on the field. I never confronted away from the battle and I never abandoned that fantasy."
It is possible the 37-year-old's last debut at a World Cup. He started Portugal's round of 16 and quarterfinal games as a substitute subsequent to being sidelined by the group's mentor Fernando Santos.

His other sister, Katia Aveiro, added single word: "Pleased!"
In his 22 World Cup appearances, Ronaldo has scored eight objectives and before in the current year's competition he turned into the main man to score in five World Cups.
